A summer day on Main Street—where shops, restaurants, and makers come
together.
The Honeoye Lake Strawberry Festival celebrates the start of summer in a place where it feels most natural.
Honeoye is the namesake of the Honeoye strawberry, a variety developed by researchers at Cornell University and long associated with New York agriculture—known for its early season and vibrant flavor.
While not widely grown here today, the festival reflects a growing connection to the berry—bringing in nearby farmers and makers, many of whom are already part of the local food community. Through the efforts of Main Street businesses, this network is brought together in one place, offering a chance to experience their work directly and strengthening connections between producers and the community.
This festival has come together through the support of local businesses, organizations, and residents, with a shared goal: To bring the community together and celebrate what grows here—our farms, our makers, our food, and our Main Street.
